When I did 55 Fridays I couldn’t help but write twist endings to the little stories. I don’t know if it was indicative of my writing style or the demands of only writing 55 words for a story.
Paperback Writer, Mike (http://www.kalbzayn.com/) and I were talking about this very thing. Is it possible to have a complete story that is interesting and only 55 words long, but not have a twist ending?
I love those short pieces, though I’m always left wanting more. I think it’s harder to write shorter, there isn’t room for extra words or mistakes. I love the twist.
I liked it! I thought it was going to be sad… then I read the ending and laughed! Thank you for cheering up a tired Helen!
Thanks Helen! I went with the twist at the end. I’m glad you got a laugh.

Michelle,
. I’m glad you liked the story.
I’m not sure if it is more difficult or not to write a very short story. I know it takes less time, though
