Sorry I didn’t get a chance to post yesterday. I was stranded by the 10 inches of snow we got yesterday, forced to eat the upholstery of my car and drink snow I melted in my hands. Luckily, I was discovered by a group of wild squirrels who took me in for the night and called a cab for me in the morning.

I drove to work in the bad weather yesterday only to arrive at my destination and discover the place was closed. Since I was out, I stopped at Barnes and Noble and picked up a couple books for my daughter for Valentine’s Day and a coffee for me. The rest of my day consisted of snow shoveling and baby wrangling, followed up with a nice dinner with my wife and daughter as we opened up our little gifts.
As far as sleep goes, nothing has improved. I spent an hour a couple nights ago rocking our daughter to sleep, as my wife had done the previous night. It seems she no longer “eats to sleep”. Nuts! When we finally do get her to sleep we gingerly put her on her crib, and gingerly leave the room like a one-legged man in a minefield. I try not to even think anything, as this might wake her. Anyhow, we will get through it. We are blessed that she has always been so aware and quizzical, and I think she just doesn’t want to sleep for fear of missing anything.
