Tales of Beedle the Bard to Be Published

Tales of Beedle the Bard

Tales of Beedle the Bard

Remember a while ago when J.K. Rowling’s auctioned for charity a book of fairy tales related to the Harry Potter universe? Well, there was a bit of good news for Harry Potter fans today.

It turns out The Tales of Beedle the Bard will be published in the United States and Britain, with the proceeds once again going to charity. According to the article, the book will be published December 4th, just in time for Christmas!

I’m excited and will totally be picking this up. I was hoping they would do this.

*************************UPDATE**********************************

I just received an email from Amazon Associates regarding Beedle the Bard.  There will be two editions of this book published, one for $7.59 and a special edition for $100 *drool*.

  1. I’d rather have a new Harry Potter book but as that ain’t going to happen then this will be the next best thing….how exciting! Feeling better?

  2. Diane – I still don’t feel exactly great. I feel like someone has a voodoo doll of me and keeps poking it in the belly. Hopefully I’ll be all better tomorrow.

  3. OMG! AHHH. Any idea how much in dollars (CDN)?!

  4. Imajeed – they didn’t say anything about cost in the article, although my guess is around $20 US.

  5. not bad. thx

  6. And amazon obviously wants to raise lots of money for this book. Not only did they send out the email, if you go to amazon and search for just about any book, it will be the first thing to pop up.

I’m all for helping charity, but really . . .
