Wow. I’ve actually heard of some of those authors and books.
I have a couple other eBook news items.
1) Amazon released a Kindle app for iPhone/iPod Touch so you can buy Kindle books without paying for a Kindle. The software isn’t quite as good as some of the other eReaders for the iPhone but their library and prices are pretty decent compared to the competition.
2) Fictionwise (my favorite eBook site) was apparently just bought by Barnes & Noble.
Maybe this really will be the year of the eBook.
Assassin’s Apprentice is one of my favourite books. The Farseer and Tawny Man Trilogys are very gripping, but slightly depressing, reads. You should definitely grab that one.
