Writing Links

Thanks to those who left their “very short stories” in the comments of the previous post. That Wired article has really made its rounds on the Internet this week and it was cool to see so many talented authors give their take on the idea.

In case there are those out there who have never heard of it, there is a cool web site called del.icio.us, which is a collection of Internet bookmarks. Once you create an account there, you can add your own bookmarks to the site. This is very useful for me as I can bookmark something at work and view that bookmark at home, without having to export my FireFox bookmarks. As an added bonus, you can also view other people’s bookmarks and even view the bookmarks by tag. For example, I often keep an eye on the Writing tag (del.icio.us/tag/writing), as there is often some great writing resources there. For example, this is where I found the Wired article.

I have also added my writing links to the bottom of the navigation area under the “Top Posts” widget. I have titled this section “Writing Links” and this simply points to my del.icio.us Writing tag. This are sites that are either about writing, or have a subject matter that I may want to write about some day. I hope you find them useful.

  1. I’ve heard of del.icio.us before, but have always thought it to be one more extraneous “hook-up” site–á la MySpace, Friendster, Facebook, etc. After reading your post, I just might give it a try. Thank you! 🙂
