A Pumpkin Update

Just a quick update on the pumpkin situation. I’m sad to report that it looks unlikely this plant will be producing any pumpkins. How sad.

I guess I’ll have to go out and buy a pumpkin this year. There’s always next year, though. 🙂 I’ll have to do some research in the meantime, and see if I can do anything differently, such as plant in a different location. I’ll let you all know the results, of course.

  1. Uhm…those on the photo look all male flowers for me. You might still want to fry them as a punishment :)))

It seems that you have not tried to force it to grow upward, have you?

May next year bring mopre success, but you should plant it earlier. Here we plant pumpkin early May….

  2. My parents’ dog once planted some gourds. They had the most beautiful vine for a single year.

I hope they come through for you next year! I’ve always thought it would be fun to grow a pumpkin patch. Must be my inner Linus coming out.

  3. SzélsőFa – I used the same photo from before. However, I didn’t get to help them grow upwards. I didn’t have a chance. I’ll try that next year, though.

Sarah – I’m so tempted to buy the new It’s A Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown DVD that’s just been released. It’s the same as before, except “remastered”. I think my daughter would love that.
