Writing Tonight

I’m writing tonight, Saturday night, no matter what. This is my pledge. I’m Struggling Writer and I approve this message.

Thanks everyone for the pep talk again. Five hundred words isn’t too much. You are right.

A little advice for the morning: don’t put your foot in front of a puck on purpose, no matter how close the game is. You’ll wind up with a bruised ankle. Trust me on this. I’m now a limpy writer.

Watched the debate last night. I won’t get too political here. Let me just say that McCain is starting to remind me of Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men. If Obama pushes him much further I think he’s gonna have his “YOU CAN”T HANDLE THE TRUTH” moment and snap. Just sayin’.

Crap. I just saw Paul Newman died. Maybe I’ll watch Cool Hand Luke tonight.

  1. Ow, ow, ow, that ankle sounds sore – we can commiserate together, I did my achilles tendon in at gym last week – we can limp and hobble together as we write 🙂

Sad news about Paul Newman, isn’t it – though I’d never have said he was 83! A good, long life with plenty of accomplishments.
