The Lascaux Review is hosting a 250 word Flash Fiction contest at their Flash Fiction site. The prize is $250. Yep, a dollar a word. You can’t beat that.
Here is the official announcement of the 2013 Lascaux Flash Flash Contest. Go there for details on how to submit. But really, the most important part is to look at the provided image and write 250 words. Pretty simple.
Do it!
I have to confess I’m not clear on the definition of “flash fiction” so I am investigating further . . .
Thanks for the comment 🙂 Sorry if I seemed like a baby on your site, complaining about the lack of comments.
Flash fiction is just really short fiction. 250 words for this one.
I don’t think you seemed like a baby. I think your thoughts on the topic are shared widely, as you can see from the other comments on that post.
Did you wind up entering? Some day I’ll work up the courage to do something like this.
There is plenty of time to enter. You totally should enter. It’s fun and a chance to meet other writers.
You can see a bunch of examples of my flash fiction here: https://strugglingwriter.wordpress.com/category/my-writing/
I unfortunately can’t enter the contest because I helped them with their webdesign on their main site lascauxreview.com and am therefore disqualified.
Will check out. Thanks 🙂
