Simon’s Cat

Just a follow-up to my hockey post on Friday. I had a game Sunday night and scored a hat trick (3 goals), doubling my goal total for the entire season. Maybe I should’ve made the skate switch sooner!

I have a pretty cool blog post planned (liveblog of my day yesterday alone with my daughter), but I’m not going to have it finished for today. I’m getting all twitchy that I haven’t posted anything since Friday, so I give you this hilarious cartoon of a cat. Trust me, you’ll like it.

Star Wars According to a Three Year Old

What do you do if you are having trouble coming up with a topic to blog about? You post a YouTube video of course.

You all may have seen this already, but I figured I’d post this here just in case. It’s a cute little interview with a 3 year old girl about Star Wars. My favorite part is “but don’t talk back to Darth Vader, he’ll get ya!”. Too cute. Anyhow, enjoy.

Short Film – God is a DJ

I just came across at Extra Life, a video game webcomic site I visit every day. It is an amazing, moving, , funny, silent short film that is titled God is a DJ. I won’t try to explain it because I would just mess it up. Let’s just say it shows how one little action can have enormous consequences in ways that aren’t always apparent. Anyhow, this made me smile and I share it with you.

On the NaNoWriMo front, I’m at 33,368 words, and will hit 35,000 today.

J.K. Rowling Biography on YouTube

Endicott Studios announced the other day that there is an “Endicott Studio Channel” on YouTube. There is some really good stuff there including video of Neil Gaiman reading “Instructions”

Also there is an an A&E biography of J.K. Rowling from a few years ago. I highly recommend this to all you writers out there. Truly inspirational. I plan on watching this again right before NaNoWriMo for an extra kick of excitement. Here is part 1:

Part 5

As you are reading this, I’m on a car trip from Pennsylvania to Georgia, roughly a 700 mile car trip. I’ll be back home on Monday but will hopefully check back here from the hotel. We’ll see. I hope you enjoy these videos as much as I did.
