I just came across this. One of the rare instances where the live performance bests the album version.

We were at a wedding a few weekends ago and the music they played as people were gathering was similar to this, popular songs played on classical instruments. It reminded me a bit of Westworld, to be honest. I particularly liked this song played on strings.
I mean, everything is awful right now, isn’t it. Like just pretty much everything. But we still have music, so maybe we’ll be okay.
The Bangles – Hazy Shade of Winter played over the credits of one of the episodes of Stranger Things. This song was the only thing that could hold me back from immediately jumping to the next episode.
I haven’t posted here in a while. But I came across this song this morning and wanted to share. It is a beautiful, whimsical song, and I think we could all use some beauty and whimsy.
I realize these music posts are a bit lazy, but oh well. I like music and I especially like finding new good music you won’t hear on the radio. So I figure maybe you all like that too?
This one is a band(?) called Clarity and the song is called DNA. I honestly don’t know where I came across it, but I’m glad I did.
I will spoil nothing from Star Wars – The Force Awakens. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I thought I’d post this little piece of John Williams’ magic from the film. Titled Rey’s Theme, this one is an instant classic for me. It reminds me a bit of the Harry Potter theme (also done by John Williams).
I like Paramore and this is one of their better songs.
Last Hope.
Metric is a great, underrated band.
Jenny Lewis is awesome. This song is awesome. So is the video. Gotta love the visual references to “Troop Beverly Hills”.
